Dr Michelle Fitzmaurice is an experienced nutritionist with expertise in glycated peptides and biomarkers for diabetes diagnosis.
Michelle has a wide range of current research interests, and is open to collaboration with clinical and basic research scientists. Her current research interests are:
- The role of the microbiome in lifespan health
- Biomarkers for the diagnosis and monitoring of diabetes
- Gestational Diabetes diagnosis and markers for beta-cell expansion during pregnancy
- Barriers to breastfeeding (clinical and pathological barriers)
- Hashimotos / Hypothyroid of pregnancy and Fetal Development
